The Phantom 4K 1996 Ultra HD 2160p

The boy’s parents were killed by pirates, and he dedicated his life to fighting evil, becoming—by 1938—the Phantom (the dashing Zane), the terror of all scoundrels and criminals, and at the same time the hero of Lee Falk’s popular comic strips. Riding a spirited steed, wearing a mask, and accompanied by a wolf, he lived in the jungles of Bengal. The villain Remar (I love this actor) stole one of the three skulls from a secret treasury: there were three in total—silver, gold, and jade. The possessor of all three skulls—whose secret was revealed long ago by the Tumangi tribe—will control all the energy of the Earth. It remains to be added that Remar was a member of the secret “Holy Brotherhood,” which had been hunting for these skulls for 400 years. And behind it all is a criminal of international stature, a certain Mr. Drex (Williams). An honest newspaper owner and a beautiful journalist want to expose him, and fate, obedient to the authors’ will, unites them with the Phantom in the fight to save humanity.

I saw this movie a long, long time ago when I was a kid. I don’t remember it clearly, but I can say I liked it. And if it were to air again on TV, I’d happily watch it again.

The movie is based on a comic book, and superheroes are always popular, especially one as charming as this one. The movie features fights, adventures, a little magic, and some mystery. Kids and teens might enjoy it. And the whole family can watch it together, too.

I’d watch it again just for Catherine Zeta-Jones. She was great in it—I think she played a villain of some sort. It’s unusual to see her in a movie of this genre.
