I didn't write a review right after watching the movie so that my emotions could settle down. The night has passed, but the heavy aftertaste of the movie has not gone away. This is a sign of a good, quality movie that leaves a trace in the memory.

The story is captivating from the opening credits, and the documentary footage of real-life child abductions makes you break out in a cold sweat. I've never had any sympathy for children, probably because I don't have children myself, and probably never will. But this movie made me truly empathize with both the children and the parents who experienced this true nightmare. Such a thrill of watching a movie I have probably never experienced before. And this is despite the fact that there is no outright brutality in the movie, which is good. The movie was filmed very well, and the whole 2 hours of the movie does not let you tear yourself away from watching it.

If someone tries to draw attention to the fact that there is not enough action, the story is simple and boring, Caviezel, you see, does not play bright enough - I do not agree. Apparently, you wanted to watch this movie with a beer and popcorn, but this is not your option at all. Such movies are watched in one breath with a lump in your throat. The movie is heavy and without unnecessary tinsel. The authors have fulfilled their main task of drawing attention to a very serious problem.

So far this is the best movie of this year that I have seen. I don't know whether to advise parents of small children to watch it or not. On the one hand it is very useful, because it can happen to any family anywhere in the world and you need to be alert. On the other hand - an additional phobia and unnecessary nervousness from every sneeze near the child.

Still, it is probably necessary to watch - informed means armed.

One thing is certain - you will not be indifferent when watching and the movie will leave its weighty mark. Such films are rare in our time and the fact that it still saw the light is a great merit of its creators, who for a long time put sticks in the wheels of all those who in the West are against traditional basic values, who tried (and is trying) to legalize pedophilia, who is against the institution of the family, who is against the fact that there are only two genders. Obliterating cinema zeroes in on their efforts, something they were very much afraid of.
