Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia 4K 1974 Ultra HD 2160p
Warren Oates perfectly played the role of a pianist, who finds himself drawn into dangerous adventures in Mexico together with harsh hunters for rewards. This tough western will especially please fans of Sam Pekinpah, characterized by a naturalistic manner of staging scenes of violence (remember “The Wild Bunch”, “Pat Garret and Billy the Kid”). Unfortunately, it is rather difficult to find this movie on our video market.
User Review
The great director Sam Pekinpa called this movie completely his own. According to him, he made it the way he wanted it to be. Incredibly dark, nihilistic movie takes not only its scenes of violence and cruelty, naturalism, but also a depressing atmosphere of loss, failure and hopelessness. Perhaps one of the darkest and most contradictory pictures in the history of cinematography. Depressiveness does not subside until the finale, until the very moment when this unfortunate head, which brought so much trouble, will not be delivered to the customer.
Filmed for only one and a half million dollars (a very small amount for the American film industry) - the last true masterpiece of Pekinpa does not take the scope or epicness, but mostly the atmosphere and the play of actors. Even Pekinpa's crowning shootouts fade into the background under the pressure of this black drama. Masterfully playing his role of American Benny, actor Warren Oates, who has repeatedly starred with the director so believably showed the split in the “little” man, borrowing, by the way, his image from Sam Pekinpa.
