The Father (2020) is not a film you watch it's a film you experience. Florian Zeller's directorial debut pulls off something remarkable: it doesn't just tell the story of dementia, it makes you feel it. Rooms shift, faces change, timelines collapse. You are just as lost as Anthony.

Hopkins delivers what may be the performance of his career raw, terrified, and heartbreakingly human. The final scene alone is worth every award the film received. Colman is equally precise, conveying years of exhaustion and love in a single glance.

Quiet, claustrophobic, and utterly unforgettable.
