Unlike many of Chan's other movies, this one has a very good plot. It's because it's historical and (as in 'Once Upon a Time in China') immerses us in the era of that time. We can also praise the leading acting trio, especially Yuen Biao, who unlike Jackie and Sammo often plays different roles. Also worth highlighting are Dick Weigh and Mars. Also in the pluses to the movie can be attributed to the music, costumes and decals. In minuses to the movie can be attributed to the fact that on the disk recorded on the American version of the movie, shortened but half an hour.

Fights: Great! All three brothers are at their best. Especially worth mentioning is the comedy fight between Chan and Biao, as well as the final fight of all three brothers against the main boss.

Stunts: The chapel stunt is a classic! The rest of the stunts, especially the bike ride, are very well staged.

Humor: Funny enough. The comedic training scenes are particularly well done.
