Ghoulies II 4K 1987 Extended Unrated Ultra HD 2160p
In this sequel to Ghoulies (the whole theme is clearly ripped off from the very good Gremlins), our slurping little beasts, the spawn of Satan, were almost destroyed, but it's clear that this couldn't happen at the beginning of the film. This time, they wreak havoc at a carnival. But it all looks very cheap, the puppets leave much to be desired, except perhaps for scaring small children.
User Review
The first film was such a strange cinematic work that I didn't even want to mention that the goblins (originally ghouls) mentioned in the title were barely shown at all — the film could have been “drowned” in a multitude of ways. But I want to talk about the second film in the franchise, and I'll try to be as concise and thorough as possible. First, I want to note that the sequel is as different from the first part as possible. There are different characters and a different plot—perhaps only the goblins themselves remain the same.
Since we're talking about the plot and characters, let's talk more about them. The plot of the sequel isn't particularly special, but at least it keeps the viewer glued to the screen. The film has some intrigue, which is nice, as well as a couple of really interesting and even memorable moments. As for the characters, their personalities are now much better developed: they have their own ambitions, aspirations, and personalities. It would seem like nothing special: the local characters are just a little more revealed, but this makes the film much more enjoyable to watch.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Goblins 2 is a good film. Not at all! We are still dealing with a very specific spectacle that will not appeal to everyone. It's just that, if we are going to compare, the sequel is head and shoulders above the original. If anyone cares, the light mystical atmosphere inherent in the first Goblins has been lost. However, this is not important, because in return, the film has learned to evoke emotions in the viewer: you will not see anything scary, of course, but at times the film is capable of eliciting sincere laughter.
