User Review
“Drunken Master 2” (1994) is arguably one of the best hand-to-hand combat action films in cinematic history, in which Jackie Chan showcased the peak of his physical prowess and comedic talent. The story of a young kung fu master who defends his country’s cultural heritage from smugglers hooks you from the very first minutes thanks to its excellent pacing and signature humor.
The visual style and fight choreography here are simply on another level. The unique “drunken master” style looks simultaneously funny, fluid, and incredibly dangerous. The final twenty-minute battle at the factory is a work of art in its own right, worth watching the film over and over again just for that scene. If you love high-quality martial arts without a ton of CGI, this 4K masterpiece is a must-watch.
