Storyline
Aliens have released all of Earth's monsters from their imprisonment on Monsterland and are using them to destroy all of the major cities on the planet. It is up to the daring crew of the rocket ship Moonlight SY-3 to infiltrate the aliens' headquarters on the Moon before the Earth monsters and King Ghidorah annihilate the planet.

I think it's a benchmark blockbuster for the time. This is what Michael Bay's movies would have looked like if he had started making movies in the 60s. For nothing, the movie has the spirit of his ‘Armageddon’ (I'd even say it's full of references and paschalas).

This is what is now called Hollywood: everything is made exactly according to the rules and traditions of the center of modern world cinema. Not a gram of realism, plausibility, logic and sense - only the satisfaction of the desires of the masses (we must admit that the desires of the crowd since those times have not changed much) and accessible reflection of the vision of the future, in the view of ordinary people.

Eh, and at that time people believed that accelerated technological progress by the 90s would bring the planet to such a development that we could fly to the moon there and back in some hours, and as nothing to do.

And in general, this is one of the first attempts in the movie to create a kind of global crossover a la ‘Justice League’ or ‘The Avengers’.
