Exotic. Modern Indian horror. Surrealistic psychopathic slasher. Themes of Satanism and mysticism. The effects are simple but tasty. Lots of blood and violence. However, the narrative is too confusing and unclear. Some attempts at art, but the idea wasn't fully developed. At first, there was a good start and everything looked, if not very intriguing, then lively and promising, but then the authors decided to go for surrealism and pseudo-philosophy, smeared with darkness, but somehow they didn't quite pull it off.
The plot. A team of Indian cops. The guys are a bit shady and don't seem to be entirely honest, but they're not unequivocally bad. They're kind of tough, but sometimes fair. They are called to an incident in an area where, as they say, all sorts of weird things are happening. Some kind of cultists and debauchery. On the way there, all sorts of strange things happen, and upon arrival, the team immediately gets mixed up with a satanic cult and becomes their hostages. And then, mixed in with murders and torture, there are psychedelic trips that blur reality and make it unclear what's going on.
The film seems to have been well received by critics and has some interesting moments. But I didn't really like it because of the superficial vagueness of the plot. I love formal psychedelia, but without attempts to tie it to some simple plot logic. And here they tried to do something like that. But horror fans might want to watch it. It might hook you.
