The Wiz 4K 1978 Ultra HD 2160p
The Wizard is the most unusual interpretation of the fairy tale—the main action takes place in New York, and all the key characters in the film are played by black actors. The main character is a 24-year-old teacher from Harlem, played by the great singer Diana Ross, who, by a twist of fate, finds herself in a magical place where all her cherished dreams can come true. On her way to her American dream, Dorothy meets the Cowardly Lion (Ted Ross), the Tin Man (Nipsey Russell), and the Scarecrow (Michael Jackson's debut role), each of whom sings, dances, and expresses themselves in every way possible.

'Wiz' is another crazy movie from the 70s. American pop idol Michael Jackson played his first significant role in it. He played the role of the Scarecrow, the most beloved children's character of that time. Jackson's girlfriend, singer Diana Ross, also appeared in the film as Dorothy.
The film ‘Wiz’ is an adaptation of the Broadway production of the same name, as well as a unique reinterpretation of Baum's classic fairy tale ‘The Wizard of Oz’. I loved this book as a child. I reread all 14 volumes and several sequels, so I can say with confidence that director Sidney Lumet treated this story in a very original way. For example, all the roles in the film are played by black actors. They dance, sing, get into various “mishaps,” and dance again throughout the entire film. I also noticed that in some scenes, Lumet quoted the American version of The Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland. This is in the scene where the shoes fly off the Wicked Witch's feet, after which her legs curl up into a tube...
In general, this is a very unusual film. It has many interesting characters and unusual sets, and the scene where Evelina falls into the toilet can safely be counted among the funniest moments in film history. Wiz also features very good cinematography, pleasant music, and superb choreography. It is one of those films that every self-respecting cinephile should see. And the average viewer will certainly find it very interesting to see the young (and still black!) Michael Jackson.
